Questions & Answers
How long will the workshop audition last and what should I expect ?
The workshop session will last for 1 hour. It will not be compulsory to learn any lines or prepare an audition piece at this stage. Please bring a copy of your confirmation details with you. You will receive a formal offer within 14 days of your audition either by post or email which may also include a recall. We anticipate that from the time you book in to the time your audition will be completed will be 1.5 hours in total. The session will involve some script reading in small groups and will be fun and improvisation based.
Pick up Drop Off- In the interest of safety please make sure that directors and our staff are onsite before drop off. Tutors will not release young people under the age of 18 unless they have seen a recognised adult at collection time.
Parents are welcome to wait onsite directly outside the room if they wish to stay, if a form has been completed parents are welcome to leave the site and return at 1pm.
What are the directors looking for at audition ?
Our experienced directors and tutors are looking for enthusiastic actors to work with, who are willing to learn and who show a natural ability in front of an audience and work well as a team. Experience is not necessary and directors look forward to working with complete beginners or those who have had previous experience.
What Happens if I am offered a place in a cast.
If you are successful and offered a part within the cast, we will send you further information about the performance, Class Act Drama Centre, the centre’s membership details and membership forms to complete and consider should you wish to accept your place. If you have not been successful on this occasion we may offer you a part in an alternative group, or retain your details for further castings that we are working on. It is with regret that due to availability we cannot offer every child a place within a cast. However, we will inform every candidate of our decision

If successful all members are guaranteed a speaking role. Successful siblings will be offered a discounted rate. There are 5 scholarship places that provide free training for successful members who are not in a financial position to contribute to fees. Fees include weekly training in a class, tuition, rehearsal, room hire & access to script materials. Full details will be supplied to all successful candidates under no obligation. Shows & casting are at directors discretion
