Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Birmingham, Cannock and general cover.
Part-time drama tutors required in the following areas for weekend sessions. Please do not apply if you do not currently live or intend to live within a reasonable travelling distance of these venues.
Candidates must be dynamic with a large repertoire of workshop material, highly driven and passionate about their work, with a unique ability to effectively impart knowledge. A relevant degree or life experience is essential.
A current CRB/DBS check will be required or applied for and experience working with children and young people would be preferable. Annual sessional weekend and evening work with good rates of pay will be available for the right candidates with the opportunity to direct one show or short film project per year.
Tutors should be able to offer long-term stability and consistency to their students, this is therefore an ideal opportunity for a theatre practitioner to build or add to a portfolio of tutoring work and is not compatible with touring.
Initially part-time positions would be ideal as supplementary income, however further hours maybe offered to the right candidates. Individuals will need to be naturally positive and solution orientated when faced with artistic and student challenges.
£15 per hour ( Multiple 2 hour sessions available per day )
Strong administrative skills are required for producing shows and maintaining class management with excellent written and spoken English skills a must. All successful candidates will be required to attend an initial training session before any teaching slots are allocated, with further regular training required in post. New tutors will be actively mentored by senior staff.
Please do not apply if you have previously applied before, our recruitment staff are looking for brand new applicants only. Immediate work placements are available. Placements will only be offered to candidates who successfully undertake and complete required training. A clean driving license and own transport essential with tutors based within easy travelling distance to required teaching sites. Multiple sessions with ongoing annual work is available.
All opportunities will initially be offered on a trial basis only.
Formal Interviews will start taking place Feb/March 2020 with each candidate invited to teach part of a supervised drama workshop.
